The Kyodai Invitational championship, directed by Shihan Georges Aschkar was held at Queens College, on October 25, 2009. The tournament was assisted by Shihan Mario Arthur and Sensei James Luk. This was the last NYTKL event for 2009

The International Shotokai Federation and the Shotojuku Dojo had a large group that participated and they won many medals. The Shotojuku Dojo thanks ISF members Sensei Jaime Paz, Sensei Luis Rojas, Sensei Bernard Clemons, Sensei Mustafa Elrakabawy, Sensei Janet Moreira and Shidoin Edward Nieto for judging. We also like to thank Sensei James Luk for a great job in staging and Jonathan Saltos, Gerald Vergara and Olivia Pagan for score keeping.
Our students had a great time and we look forward to attending Shihan George Aschkar’s 2010 tournament!

Shihan Georges Aschkar a senior student of Master Toyotaro Miyazaki hosted the Kyodai Invitational championships at Queens College, on October 26, 2008.
The tournament was very well run with the help of Shihan Mario Arthur and Sensei James Luk. All the founding members of the NYTKL were there to assist and run this annual tournament. This was the last NYTKL event for 2008.

The tournament started on time and finish on time and it was one of the most well run events of the year.
Our members had a great time and look forward to next year’s event.
